Job Overview

The Head of Member and Corporate Relations is a key member of the leadership team, responsible for shaping and executing membership growth strategy and corporate relations functions.

This includes formulating long-term strategies for membership growth and revenue generation aligned with the organization's vision. The role also involves building and leading a high-performing, cross-functional team covering business development, marketing, events, and account management.

The ideal candidate will have over 15 years of proven leadership experience in business development, sales, and account acquisition, with a track record of driving growth and leading complex strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Leadership: Formulate and execute long-term strategies for membership growth and revenue generation aligned with the organization's vision.
  • Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing, cross-functional team covering business development, marketing, events, and account management.
  • Market Expansion: Identify and evaluate new markets, trends, and strategic partnerships to expand the organization's reach.
  • Membership Acquisition & Retention: Develop and oversee strategies for recruitment and retention of members, especially high-value accounts.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Forge and nurture relationships with government agencies, trade associations, and key industry partners.
  • Performance Management: Establish KPIs and implement metrics-driven frameworks to ensure effectiveness and accountability.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to align efforts and drive holistic outcomes.
  • External Representation: Represent the organization in tripartite workgroups, forums, and public platforms, articulating the views and needs of employers.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree: In Business, Marketing, or related field; a postgraduate qualification in a related field would be an advantage.
  • Leadership Experience: Over 15 years of proven leadership experience in business development, sales, and account acquisition.
  • Success Record: Demonstrated success in driving growth and leading complex strategic initiatives.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership with a track record of building high-performing teams.
  • Relationship-Building: Excellent relationship-building skills at the executive and institutional levels.
  • Networking: Experienced in networking with industry leaders, TACs, and government stakeholders.
