Job Summary

This role involves leading research and information network analysis, collaborating with defence and technology agencies to develop bespoke solutions and tools for information research and analysis.

  • Coordinate and direct research and collection efforts with information agencies across the government and its departments.
  • Lead dedicated research and analysis on various networks, nodes of influence, and audience groups in the online environment.
  • Develop and curate information, directing subordinate analysts for daily research and investigation of information issues.
  • Oversee information monitoring activities.
  • Collaborate with agencies to analyse media reports and internet forums/blogs.
  • Develop bespoke solutions and tools for information research and analysis.
Responsibilities
  • Extracting key insights from information research.
  • Prioritising work tasks effectively.
  • Communicating guidance clearly to unite staff with varying levels of experience and expertise.
  • Interpreting ongoing developments and conversations in the information environment and combining qualitative analyses with technical knowledge.
Qualifications
  • Education in Mass Communications or Social Sciences (e.g. Political Science, International Relations, Psychology, Economics).
  • At least 10 years of working experience.
  • Prior experience in communications-related or research role is preferred.
  • Good writing, analytical and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under time pressure.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changes.
  • Excellent collaboration and teamwork skills with various stakeholders across agencies.
