Senior Electronic Trading Software Developer

Our client is looking for a senior software engineer in the APAC Equities Electronic Trading team. The person in this role will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering next-gen low-latency execution platforms in APAC. The senior engineer will collaborate with a team of developers and work with the product development team, other technology teams, production support, and quality assurance. Close alignment with the global strategy is important for this role.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and support high-performance electronic execution platforms.
  • Build common solutions for trading platform monitoring, trade reconciliation, application recovery, etc.
  • Partner with traders, quant researchers, and clients on product development.
  • Continuous maintenance & improvements of testing frameworks, development tools, and environments.
  • Ability to envision, design, and implement test cases for trading functions.
  • Contribute towards Agile and Continuous Integration processes.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 7 years' experience with strong technical knowledge and expertise in either Java, C#, C++.
  • Previous experience in developing automated trading platforms.
  • Knowledge of Python would be beneficial.
  • Strong understanding of automated testing techniques.
  • Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and Continuous Integration processes.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, set goals, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills with a demonstrable ability to present and grasp complex concepts in a multicultural environment is required.
