Electronic Trading Specialist

  • We handle client transactions for financial institutions, corporates, governments and investment funds around the world as market makers, trading in fixed income and equity securities, including currencies, interest rates and credit in cash, derivatives and structured products.

Key Responsibilities:

The Electronic Trading Specialist will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing quantitative analytics and models for FX market making and algorithmic trading.
  • Collaborating with the eSales team to service clients' needs while building lasting relationships and franchise.
  • Producing revenue streams from market knowledge and responsible idea-driven calibration of pricing and hedging models.
  • Leveraging client flow and market events for the benefit of the client base and Nomura.
  • Working to the highest moral code and advancing Nomura's ethics in all areas.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative or engineering discipline.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in trading FX Products.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in quantitative research or trading.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in coding in Python, or Java, or relevant quantitative packages such as Pandas or scikit-learn.
  • The ability to clearly articulate technical concepts in written and verbal formats to internal and external stakeholders.
  • The ability to manipulate and analyze complex, large scale, high-dimensionality data from multiple sources.
  • Working experience with high-frequency financial time series is preferred.
