Children's Ministry Role

We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Children's Ministry staff member. This role is responsible for assisting in the development and review of children's ministry programs, representing the ministry in collaborations with other teams, coordinating special programs, and facilitating preparation and planning.

The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for working with children and possess excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. A diploma or degree in Theology or Divinity, or equivalent childhood qualifications, is required. Additionally, a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant working experience with children is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and review CM programs.
  2. Represent the Children's Ministry in collaborations with other teams.
  3. Coordinate special programs that impact the church as a whole.
  4. Facilitate preparation and planning for the Children's Ministry.

Teaching and Nurturing:

  1. Provide leadership by teaching during Children's Ministry sessions and Christian Education activities.
  2. Work with the Children's Ministry team to conduct programs, including worship, weekly classes, and special events.
  3. Assist teachers in counselling children.

Curriculum Development:

  1. Review, select, or develop curriculum for the Church School.
  2. Create in-house curriculum and lesson plans.

Recruitment and Development:

  1. Assist in recruiting teachers and assistants.
  2. Evaluate applicants and guide new volunteers.
  3. Equip teachers and assistants with knowledge and skills.

Outreach Activities:

  1. Serve as a contact link between teams.
  2. Assist in conducting Christian Education activities.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma/ Degree in Theology/ Divinity or equivalent Childhood qualifications.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant working experience with children.
  • Warm and caring attitude with a love for children.
  • Ability to lead, dynamic personality, and creative thinker.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications.
  • Competent in spoken and written English.
  • Strong organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Strong team player.
