Coastal Design Manager Job Summary

The Coastal Design Manager plays a key role in overseeing the design and analysis of coastal structures such as quay walls, ports, jetties, revetments, and land reclamation projects. This includes coordinating with contract and construction teams to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.

Main Responsibilities

  • ">
  • Lead the design review process for C&S and geotechnical designs and analyses for coastal structures.">
  • Assist the Design Manager in coordinating and managing all design-related matters, including ensuring design coordination and document submission from contractors aligns with project timelines.">
  • Coordinate with Contract and Construction team and provide necessary information or correspondences on changes which deviate from the contract and may lead to time and cost implications.">
  • Chair design coordination meetings and assist the Project Lead/Project Manager in reviewing plans for site investigations and result interpretations.">
  • Supervise both design and/or site work, prepare technical reports, and submit them to Clients and Authorities.">

Requirements

  • ">
  • Bachelor/Master's Degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering from recognized and reputable universities.">
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant civil engineering experience in large-scale infrastructure/reclamation projects.">
  • Possess strong written and verbal communication skills in English, be a team player, and able to multi-task.">
  • Discipline, self-motivated, and resourceful, with experience in contract administration advantageous.">
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Plaxis etc.">
