We drive the SkillsFuture movement, a national initiative promoting lifelong learning and skills development. Our focus is on innovation and collaboration, working closely with employers, training providers, and individuals to create a vibrant ecosystem of learning and growth.
Our role in the RPD team is to provide strategic guidance for the agency. Specifically, we are responsible for planning resources and overseeing manpower management to achieve agency goals:
- Formulating Funding Policies: We develop corporate-level funding policies to support SkillsFuture Initiatives and agency objectives;
- Budget Evaluation and Management: We evaluate budget requests from programme partners and oversee the allocation and management of our resources;
- Manpower Establishment Planning: We secure and optimize manpower resources to implement agency programmes and operations;
- Whole-of-Government (WOG) CET Grants Governance: We lead the management of WOG CET grants and strengthen governance within SSG and at WOG level.
This critical role ensures funded programs align with WOG and SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) funding policies, supporting SkillsFuture initiatives. The Manager/Senior Manager contributes to strengthening grants policies and governance, developing terms and conditions for SSG's grants, and engaging stakeholders to ensure compliance and enforceability.
They require a proactive approach to risk assessment, regular stakeholder engagement, and reasoned judgment in evaluating deviation requests, safeguarding SSG's interests and supporting overall objectives.
