Job Description
As a Sous Chef, you will be responsible for assisting the Executive Chef in managing the kitchen operations. Your duties will include preparing meals to meet guest specifications in a timely manner. You will need to measure kitchen ingredients accurately and portion food correctly. Maintaining kitchen standards, procedures, and sanitation requirements with staff is also essential. You will operate kitchen knives and equipment such as grills, ovens, steamers, and warmers for food preparation. Additionally, you will manage kitchen inventory and ensure fresh supplies of high quality. You will monitor proper food temperatures during cooking and storage. Keeping workstations and kitchen equipment clean, organized, and sanitized is critical to maintaining a safe and healthy environment. You will also assume charge of kitchen opening, closing, and side duties as directed by the Executive Chef.
