Telecom Infrastructure Specialist

This role is responsible for formulating regulatory and operational policies, and processes relating to the use of space and land to provide telecom services.

This includes long-term planning for developments to cater for relevant infrastructure upfront, establishing clear rules of engagement for access by telcos, and establishing the roles and responsibilities between development owners and telcos.

These cover both public and private land/development owners.

These are in support of the vision of building a vibrant, world-class info-communications sector that drives the Digital Economy.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Policymaking and review of infrastructure and access matters
  • Operationalising and implementing policy frameworks, including enforcement actions against non-compliant parties
  • Liaising and coordinating with internal divisions (e.g., standards division, consumer fronting division, legal division) to formulate and implement recommendations
  • Liaising and coordinating with external stakeholders (other government agencies that manage land resource matters, etc.) to facilitate space/land planning and/or allocation for telcos' deployments

Requirements:

A Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Public Policy, Engineering, Business, Legal or related fields, with at least 2 years of experience and prior experience in the infocomm industry, knowledge of regulatory concepts and frameworks would be advantageous.
