Financial Institutions Officer Job Description

As a Financial Institutions Officer, you will be responsible for reporting to the Head of Financial Institutions (FI) and contributing to the team's efforts in acquiring FI customers and counterparts, managing correspondent banking activities, and monitoring FI Trade Finance business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Acquire and manage FI customer and counterparty relationships
  • Oversee correspondent banking activities, including Nostro and Vostro accounts and SWIFT relationship management
  • Monitor and analyze FI Trade Finance business with credible counterparties in Singapore and China
  • Market and promote FI products
  • Liaise between HO, sister branches, and departments for FI credit line management
  • Prepare and review FI credit applications and credit reviews
  • Perform customer due diligence measures as necessary

Requirements:

  • Recent graduates with a Bachelor's degree from reputable universities
  • Strong interest in front office roles and eagerness to learn
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with ability to interact comfortably with various stakeholders
  • Ability to work effectively, independently, and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Proficient in English and Chinese languages, with ability to correspond with clients and colleagues in both languages
