Job Description
As a seasoned sales professional, you will lead the Automotive vertical for Southeast Asia. Your key responsibility is to drive commercial/selling activities related to the assigned vertical industry or segment. You will work closely with the Head of Sales and ensure the accomplishment of sales targets while driving vertical or segment sales expertise to optimize team results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve and exceed sales targets within the Automotive vertical.
- Champion the expansion of non-ocean services, including supply chain management and local value-added solutions tailored to the automotive sector's needs.
- Define performance targets and sales incentives in collaboration with the Sales FBP to motivate high-impact results in the automotive portfolio.
Build and Develop a Best-in-Class Sales Team
You will recruit, coach, and mentor a best-in-class sales force with deep understanding of the automotive supply chain ecosystem. Your responsibilities include ensuring robust succession plans for key roles, driving team engagement, and nurturing specialized skills in automotive vertical sales, solution selling, and customer value creation.
Manage Stakeholders across the Area, Region, and Global Functions
You will collaborate with area, regional, and global functions to align strategies and ensure consistent delivery for global and regional automotive customers. Your role involves translating customer insights into actionable feedback for the Automotive Vertical Lead and Business Development teams. You will also provide high-quality leads to business development managers to accelerate growth in key accounts and strategic opportunities.
Customer Satisfaction
You are responsible for monitoring and analyzing local Net Promoter Scores (NPS) for automotive customers. This involves implementing initiatives to enhance satisfaction, responsiveness, and service quality.
Required Skills and Qualifications
We are looking for a candidate with at least 10 years of relevant experience in transportation & logistics, sales, or a commercial function. The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of leadership and management positions. A strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain models, including airfreight, warehousing, and value-added services, is essential. Additionally, demonstrated success in building strategic partnerships and influencing C-level stakeholders is required. Fluency in English and business-level Mandarin is necessary to effectively engage with our customer base.
