About the Role

As a Doorperson / Bellman, you will be responsible for ensuring a seamless guest experience from arrival to departure. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare workstation at the start of shift and ensure all equipment and required work materials are in order.
  • Manage the queue at the entrance by directing guests to designated queues and engaging with them during the wait to enhance their arrival experience.
  • Attend to guests upon their arrival, handling inquiries and responding to their needs.
  • Rotate through duties at the curb and work closely with Bell Captain and Supervisor at the driveway to ensure a seamless guest experience.
  • Deliver incoming items to guestrooms at the request of Guest Services dispatcher/supervisor/captain or guests.
  • Maintain the luggage room and luggage trolleys, properly stacking baggage and polishing trolleys as needed.
Service and Operational Excellence
  • Exhibit exceptional customer service at all times to guests and fellow employees.
  • Collect and update guest personal information, preferences, practices, and interests to ensure accurate guest profiles in Opera.
  • Recommend new ideas to enhance guest experience and revenue generation.
Operational Risks and Employee Engagement
  • Aware of OSHA practices and reinforce safety guidelines.
  • Report and document special incidents commanding management's attention.
  • Monitor activities in both front and back of the house, reporting any suspicious characters or items to Security Department.
  • Respond to emergency situations and requirements that are safe, legal, and economically sound.
  • Practice well-mannered and groomed behavior at all times, embracing OneMBS culture.
  • Demonstrate enjoyment and enthusiasm for work, self-motivating for continuous learning and development.
Documentation, Financials, and Reporting
  • Attend scheduled departmental meetings as required.
  • Review systems and processes for workflow and productivity improvement.
  • Perform administrative duties such as inventory and filing of reports based on assigned duty within the Guest Services Team.
  • Observe usage of supplies to ensure it's within budget and minimize wastage.
Requirements and Benefits

This role requires a minimum secondary education, with a minimum 1 year experience in the same capacity. Required skills include good guest relation and problem-solving skills, planning and execution skills, time management, organization, good communication and motivational skills, meeting attendance guidelines, and adherence to departmental and company policies.

The ideal candidate must have a good command of spoken and written English, with basic knowledge in Microsoft Office applications. Additionally, they should be able to manage time, organize tasks, and possess impeccable follow-through and a 'Can Do' attitude and mindset.

Estimated salary: SGD $2500 - SGD $3500 per month, depending on experience.
