Job Title

A successful Contracts Manager will oversee the entire contract lifecycle, ensuring timely completion and compliance with contractual obligations.

This role requires a highly skilled professional with expertise in contract administration, negotiation, and dispute resolution. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • The contracts manager will be responsible for discussing, drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contract terms and conditions with clients, consultants, main contractors, sub-contractors, and suppliers.
  • They will also be responsible for overall contract administration, including liaison with project managers and relevant staff on contractual matters such as extension of time, contractual claims, variations, and loss and expense claims.
  • Contractual advisory services will be provided to ensure management, project managers, and all relevant project staff comply with contract obligations and procedures.
  • The contracts manager will identify and advise on contractual risks and propose measures to mitigate exposure to these risks.
  • They will be well-versed in PSSCOC, REDAS, SIA contractual legislations, and SOP Act.
  • The contracts manager will deal with disputes on contractual matters amicably with internal and external stakeholders.
  • They will manage and prepare all contract documentation and agreements and provide support in drafting contractual/dispute letters.
Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or Contract Law is required.

A minimum of 10 years of working experience in contract management for the construction industry is essential.
