Electrical Engineering Team Lead

  • The Electrical Engineering Team Lead will be responsible for overseeing the technical integrity of electrical and design activities. They will ensure that safe, cost-efficient, and on-time designs are developed for projects. This includes being accountable for and providing direction to the technical services in the electrical engineering elements of project scope.

  • This involves being responsible for ensuring that all related deliverables follow applicable codes, standards, Project and Corporate requirements and procedures. They will also coordinate all engineering-related reviews including Design Reviews (ITR/PSDR/DRR etc.), ENVID, HAZID, HAZOP, Bowties, ALARP, SAFOP, SIMOPS, 3D model reviews, and Constructability.

  • They must establish professional work relationships with EPIC contractors, represent their interests, and direct contractors' design efforts accordingly considering safety, start-up, cost, and constructability impacts. They must maintain an overview of project capability in the electrical discipline and highlight critical resourcing issues to the Engineering Manager.

  • They will participate in Project Assurance reviews and audits and ensure that findings are effectively closed out. The Electrical Engineering Team Lead will provide technical guidance and prepare electrical-specific elements for EPIC tenders, procurement activities, technical bid evaluation, technical queries raised by contractors.

  • They must lead the selection of suitable technology, equipment, field devices, and other electrical systems as per design, evaluate options, and select best techno-economic solutions for project facilities. They will endorse electrical design calculation reports, system studies, design philosophies, software model input and output, drawings, data bases, specifications, and vendor data.

  • They will provide technical guidance during engineering stages of the project and monitor the implementation of QA/QC processes to achieve deliverables and facilities that meet project requirements.
