The Electrical Systems Specialist will be responsible for attending onboard visits to conduct maintenance, inspection, repair, troubleshooting, and modification of electrical systems and equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate field activities and service schedules to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions and technical issues using advanced diagnostic tools.
- Supervise and oversee repairs and technical upgrades to electrical systems and equipment.
- Install new systems or technologies as required to improve efficiency and safety.
- Ensure proper maintenance and optimal performance of onsite equipment by performing routine checks and maintenance tasks.
- Supervise and direct technicians or engineers on-site to ensure projects are completed to the highest standard.
- Prepare detailed service reports including job progress updates and recommendations for future improvements.
- Provide timely updates to superiors on job progress and coordinate with internal teams to ensure seamless communication.
- Deliver technical support and training to customers, service agents, and internal teams to enhance knowledge and skills.
- Arrange and dispatch required parts, tools, and drawings to service agents or clients to minimize downtime.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition for safety and quality service by performing regular maintenance and repairs.
- Develop and update manuals and support documents to share knowledge across the engineering team and improve service outcomes.
- Collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals and improve service quality by sharing best practices and expertise.
- Collect and share customer feedback with internal departments to enhance service quality and identify areas for improvement.
- Support sales efforts by reviewing maintenance checklists and service reports to provide valuable insights.
- Diploma/ Degree in Marine/Electrical/Mechanical or related field.
- 3 - 5 years of electrical experience with a strong understanding of electrical systems and equipment.
- Ability to travel frequently for work assignments and adapt to changing circumstances.
- Proficient in using business computers and familiar with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams).
- Knowledge or hands-on experience in Marine Engines (Electrical, Mechanical, Hydraulic, Pneumatic systems).
