Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled professional to support the commissioning of marine and offshore electrical systems, ensuring installations meet design specifications, safety standards, and project requirements. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with experience in electrical engineering and system commissioning.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interpret and work with electrical drawings, schematics, diagrams, and equipment manuals.
  • Perform visual inspections for compliance with project standards.
  • Conduct continuity, insulation resistance, and earth bond testing on cables and equipment.
  • Assist in start-up pre-checks, line walks, and punch list generation and clearance on marine E&I systems.
  • Conduct loop checks, functional tests, and operational verification of electrical systems.
  • Perform load, short circuit, and protection relay testing where required.
  • Coordinate with other trades for pre-commissioning activities.
  • Identify and troubleshoot electrical faults and non-conformities.
  • Undertake shift-based watchkeeping to monitor marine mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Accurately document test results, readings, and observations.
  • Support handover and close-out documentation as needed.
Requirements:
  • Certificate in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in marine/offshore commissioning or electrical systems.
  • Strong knowledge of marine E&I systems and testing equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and manuals.
  • Effective communication skills in English and Chinese.
  • Familiarity with international standards is an advantage.
  • Willingness to work in offshore/yard environments and perform shift duties.
