Electrical Engineering Specialist - Marine Systems

This role requires an Electrical Engineer with expertise in marine systems to join our team. As an Electrical Service Engineer, you will be responsible for attending onboard visits for maintenance, inspection, repair, troubleshooting, and modification of electrical systems and equipment.

  • You will manage and coordinate field activities and service schedules, ensuring timely completion of tasks and maintaining high-quality services.
  • Diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions and technical issues, supervising and overseeing repairs and technical upgrades as needed.
  • Install new systems or technologies as required, maintaining proper maintenance and optimal performance of onsite equipment.
  • You will supervise and direct technicians or engineers on-site, preparing detailed service reports and providing timely updates to superiors on job progress.
  • Deliver technical support and training to customers, service agents, and internal teams, arranging and dispatching required parts, tools, and drawings to service agents or clients.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition for safety and quality service, developing and updating manuals and support documents to share knowledge across the engineering team.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals and improve service outcomes, collecting and sharing customer feedback with internal departments to enhance service quality.
  • Support sales efforts by reviewing maintenance checklists and service reports, fulfilling all duties typically assigned to a Technician, and performing ad-hoc tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Electrical/Marine/Electrical or related field
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in electrical engineering
  • Ability to travel frequently for work assignments
  • Proficient in using business computers and familiar with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams)
  • Knowledge or hands-on experience in Marine Engines (Electrical systems)
  • Possession of a valid Class 3 Driving License is a plus
