The role of a Resident Engineer is to guarantee that all site activities adhere to project specifications, construction drawings and regulations.

  • Monitoring site works ensures method statements and work procedures are followed.
  • Identifying non-compliance of contractor's work sites requires corrective actions.
  • Verifying contractors' progress payments and claims ensures compliance with work done and materials/equipment delivered and stored on site.
  • Witnessing inspection, testing and commissioning sessions guarantees compliance with designs and specifications.

Requirements:

  • A minimum Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification is required.
  • At least 4 years of relevant experience in supervising residential buildings is necessary.
  • A Resident Engineer Certificate accredited by IES / ACES is mandatory.
  • Proficiency in statutory codes and requirements is essential.
