Amazon Asia-Pacific Holdings Private Limited is on the lookout for an experienced Category Manager specializing in Fresh Meat, Poultry & Seafood.

Our mission is to transform the grocery shopping experience for consumers in the region by leveraging technology to create a seamless and efficient platform.

We strive to provide an extensive selection of high-quality products, ensuring great availability and value, all while prioritizing convenience in ordering and prompt delivery to foster customer loyalty.

In this role, you will play a pivotal part in reshaping the grocery shopping environment by curating an exceptional shopping experience for meat, poultry, and seafood.

You will act as the main liaison for Brands within the Fresh category, collaborating with both senior executives of major brands and smaller manufacturers.

A strong advocate for customer and category interests at Amazon, you will demonstrate excellent negotiation and analytical capabilities, complemented by robust commercial acumen and experience.

Success in this position requires effective prioritization, multitasking, outstanding project management skills, and meticulous attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement the comprehensive business strategy for vendor management, including negotiation tactics and peak period planning.
  • Contribute significantly to the Fresh business by shaping and driving strategic initiatives.
  • Assume ownership of vendor relationships, possessing a thorough understanding of both internal and external influences on business performance and profitability.
  • Manage product selection through strong vendor partnerships, evaluate market dynamics, propose terms, and execute procurement strategies.
  • Oversee various facets of business operations, including promotional activities, inventory support, product quality assurance, and vendor performance communication.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitive landscape to enhance Amazon's offerings for our customers.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proficient in Excel and adept at data extraction using reporting tools to inform business decisions.
  • 5+ years of experience in retail, operations, product/program management, or business management/consulting with a focus on negotiation and results achievement.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience in financial analysis and managing profit and loss statements.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience in vendor negotiations, pricing strategies, promotional planning, inventory oversight, and product development.
  • Skilled in analyzing large datasets to enhance performance and streamline processes.
  • Familiarity with ecommerce operations.
