Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Facilities and IT Officer to join our team in the education sector. This is a permanent hire role that requires a strong background in facilities management, administrative support, and technical support.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Facilities Management, or a related field, with proven experience in facilities management, administrative support, or related roles, preferably in an educational or institutional setting.

This position involves ensuring the proper upkeep and maintenance of school buildings, classrooms, furniture, and common areas, conducting regular inspections and risk assessments, coordinating repair and cleaning schedules, overseeing security and safety measures, and managing inventory of school assets and maintenance supplies.

In addition, the incumbent will provide technical support for hardware, software, and network issues faced by staff and students, maintain and troubleshoot IT infrastructure, manage school IT assets, oversee cybersecurity measures, and coordinate with IT vendors and service providers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and prioritize facilities management needs, develop and implement plans to address these needs
  • Coordinate with external contractors to ensure efficient and effective delivery of services
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and policies related to facilities management
  • Maintain accurate records of facilities management activities, including maintenance schedules, inspection reports, and inventory tracking

Requirements:

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Facilities Management, or a related field

Experience:

Proven experience in facilities management, administrative support, or related roles, preferably in an educational or institutional setting

Skills:

  • Strong organizational skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to prioritize tasks, and technical support knowledge
