Key Responsibilities:
  • Assessments and Progressions:
    • Acquire and maintain knowledge of examination systems, policies, and procedures.
    • Ensure examination papers and stationery are adequately stocked and inventory maintained.
    • Set up online assessments and examinations.
    • Organize arrangements for students with special examination requirements.
    • Process student applications for exam clashes.
    • Create progressive assessments schedules.
    • Make room arrangements for assessments and examinations.
    • Vet assessment papers for completeness.
    • Store assessment papers in a secured area.
  • Student Management:
    • Provide students with advice on course requirements.
    • Coordinate student enrolment systems.
    • Process requests for review of papers and appeals against results.
    • Process applications for extension or deferred assessments.
    • Handle cases of academic misconduct.
    • Identify and track students at risk.
  • Marking and Moderation:
    • Organize the marking of assessments.
    • Receive and process invoices for marking fees.
    • Manage assessment moderation.
    • Coordinate the release of results.
  • University Procedures:
    • Ensure student academic progress is in accordance with regulations.
    • Assist with the preparation of Board of Examiners reports.
  • Academic Support:
    • Provide support and assist students with academic enquiries.
    • Prepare daily classroom schedules.
    • Support academic staff for course delivery requirements.
    • Manage students and teaching staff surveys.
    • Process and prepare students' letter requests.
  • Others:
    • Perform ad-hoc tasks assigned by the Senior Manager (Academic).
Requirements:
  • A diploma (or equivalent).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines and work with minimum supervision.
  • Well-developed time management and organizational skills.
  • High levels of initiative and problem-solving skills.
Desirable:
  • Experience in academic administration and/or programme management, preferably in higher education.
  • Experience in working with international students.
  • Ability to adapt in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
