Job Title: Senior Facilities Technician

Job Description

This role involves overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of facilities, ensuring that all systems are functioning properly and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical and electrical systems, as well as excellent problem-solving skills.

The jobholder will be responsible for conducting regular checks on equipment and systems, identifying potential issues before they become major problems. This will involve inspecting electrical systems, nurse call systems, machines, and furniture to ensure they are in good working order.

In addition to regular inspections, the jobholder will also be responsible for performing repairs and maintenance tasks as needed. This may include troubleshooting faulty equipment, replacing parts, and performing minor installations.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A strong background in mechanical and electrical systems
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

You will also need to have relevant certifications or qualifications, such as NITEC Skills Certificates in ACMV or M&E. At least one year of hands-on experience in troubleshooting ACMV and M&E faults is preferred.
