Healthy Precincts: A Geographical Approach to Public Health

As a key member of the Regional Health Systems Office (RHSO), you will play a pivotal role in developing healthy precincts within the Western Region of Singapore. In collaboration with internal and community stakeholders, your primary objective will be to create geographical locations that foster residents' ability to achieve and sustain healthy lifestyles.

A Healthy Precinct is an environment and culture that supports residents to make informed choices about their health. Your success in this position will depend on your ability to plan and operationalize the concept of Health Precincts, working closely with key stakeholders to ensure seamless integration with community needs.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Support in planning and operationalising of Health Precincts concept to achieve health-social integration with internal and community stakeholders
  • Develop and implement community health plans for the precincts under your care, with emphasis on preventive health and social-health integration
  • Track and review progress on implementation of community health plan for different focus areas
  • Engage & build partnership with internal and community stakeholders e.g. grassroots organisations, social service agencies and healthcare providers to keep patients and residents healthy and integrated care across care settings

Other duties may include secretariat work for meetings and any other projects assigned by your supervisor or Head of Department.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor degree in any discipline
  • Minimum 2 years of working experience
  • Able to think critically
  • Strong planning, project management and organisational skills
  • Adept in stakeholder engagement to foster buy-in and collaboration
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities
  • Resourcefulness in problem solving and resilient in overcoming challenges
