Senior Legal Advisor

Job Description:
Our organization seeks a highly skilled Senior Legal Advisor to provide expert legal counsel across all areas of the business. This role will be responsible for advising on licensing, product development, commercial contracts, and compliance with local and international regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Regulatory & Licensing
- Advise on regulatory licensing requirements under various laws and regulations.
- Support the application, variation, and ongoing maintenance of licenses.
- Monitor regulatory developments in Singapore and other key jurisdictions and assess their impact on our business.
- Product & Business Legal Advisory
- Provide expert legal guidance on new product initiatives, including crypto lending, mining pools, and crypto card products.
- Help structure products and services in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Draft and review customer-facing documentation such as terms of service, privacy policies, and disclosures.
- Commercial Contracts
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, including partnership agreements, SaaS contracts, service agreements, and technology licenses.
- Ensure contracts reflect our business's risk appetite and commercial goals.
- Support the full contract lifecycle, from negotiation through execution and renewal.
- Data Protection & Security
- Ensure ongoing compliance with the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) and global data privacy laws.
- Collaborate with internal teams on data incident response and privacy risk assessments.
- Dispute Resolution & Risk Management
- Manage legal disputes, customer complaints, or regulatory inquiries in coordination with external counsel when necessary.
- Identify legal risks across business functions and propose mitigation strategies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or equivalent legal degree. Qualified to practice law in Singapore is preferred.
- 3–6 years of legal experience in a law firm or in-house legal role.
- Strong background in crypto, fintech, payments, or financial services industries is advantageous.
- Familiarity with MAS regulations, PSA, AML/CFT frameworks, and related financial services laws in Singapore.
