System Support Role

Responsibilities:

  • Provide ongoing maintenance support for production systems and applications, ensuring 24/7 availability and responsiveness to user queries.
  • Level 2 support includes analyzing and investigating issues, collaborating with users to identify solutions, and implementing fixes in accordance with established Service Level Agreements (SLA).
  • Evaluate potential solutions, make recommendations to resolve application issues and user queries, and assist in the implementation of changes.
  • Log issues received, track progress, and monitor fixes in a timely manner, adhering to established SLA.
  • Participate in system integration testing (SIT) and user acceptance testing (UAT) prior to production implementation of changes.
  • Assist in the change management process, including Change Approval, Implementation, Testing, Deployment, and Verification.
  • Coordinate administration matters, such as contract renewals and SSL Cert purchases.
  • Liaise closely with business users, building strong relationships and rapport.
  • Liaise with vendors to implement application patches, bug fixes, and necessary upgrades in accordance with OS/Software/Security policies.
  • Contribute to project implementation and enhancements, providing inputs and reviewing maintenance support requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Infra/Database/Security/Cyber Defence/Data Centre Ops) to detect and remediate incidents, problems, and changes.
  • Provide periodic updates and reports to internal and user management.

Requirements:

  • A recognized diploma or degree in IT or a related discipline.
  • At least 4 years of hands-on experience in software development and maintenance support.
  • Basic technical knowledge of Microsoft tools, including Citrix, MS Sharepoint, IIS, MS SQL Server, and MS Windows Server.
  • An excellent understanding of business requirements and IT strategies.
  • A general understanding of Internet and Intranet server/application architecture and experience working with medium/large systems involving multitier architecture and interface/integration to other systems.
  • Experience implementing multiple websites/web applications on the same platforms with interdependency of data and shared features is advantageous.
  • Possess strong MS platform knowledge and skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of programming/systems analysis, quality assurance, prototyping, construction, integration, and migration functions.
  • Full project lifecycle experience in designing and implementing large web applications.
  • Good problem-solving and analytical skills to resolve technical problems.
  • Good communication skills and a team player to work in a dynamic and high-performing environment.
