External Relations Director

The successful candidate will play a key role in advancing the College's external relations agenda, fostering partnerships, and driving engagement events to elevate the College's visibility globally.

Key Responsibilities:

1. External Relations and Partnership Development

  • Develop and execute strategies to promote the College's reputation and establish partnerships with industry leaders.
  • Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders to identify new opportunities for collaborations and engagements.
  • Formulate action plans to establish relations with industry and drive integrated external relations programs.
  • Support networking at industry forums and business meetings.
  • Act as the primary administrative contact for external engagements and corporate partners.

2. Event Management and Operations

  • Plan and execute comprehensive event planning for partner events and collaborative initiatives with industry.
  • Lead and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to effectively plan and execute partner events and engagement activities.
  • Select suitable event venues and negotiate contracts.
  • Manage and host visits to the College by external parties, visitors, and guests.
  • Manage the College's external relations budget, including budget planning and accounts management.
  • Develop and manage event budgets.
  • Track expenses, reconcile invoices, and provide regular financial updates to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create promotional materials and strategies for events.
  • Conduct post-event evaluations to gather feedback and assess the success of each event.

3. Support to Leadership and Strategy Development

  • Lead consultation with the College Management to strategize, strengthen, and establish industry partnerships and engagements.
  • Support the formulation of the College's external relations strategies and implementation plans.
  • Support College management in building relationships with local, regional, and international partners.

Requirements:

  • Degree from a recognized university.
  • At least 8 years of relevant work experience in events management and partnership engagement.
  • Able to connect with people at all levels, establish and maintain a network of relationships and partnerships.
  • Proficient in IT, experienced in managing in-person, virtual, and hybrid events, and engaging online communities.
  • Resourceful and driven, with the ability to think strategically, creatively, and analytically.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Able to influence and engage internal and external stakeholders.
  • Team player and must be able to work within tight deadlines.
  • Highly service-centric and customer-oriented.
