Data-Driven Trade Insights Professional

We are seeking a skilled and driven professional to join our team as a Data-Driven Trade Insights Professional. In this role, you will be responsible for driving data-led trade and business insights through economic surveillance, advanced analytics, and applied research.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Uncover data insights to shape trade and enterprise development policies and strategies.
  • Lead primary research on emerging enterprise and trade dynamics, productivity, internationalisation, and innovation.
  • Drive programme evaluation and impact assessments, delivering strategic insights grounded in economic evidence and analytical approaches.
  • Design and build dashboards and ML/AI models to support real-time trade sensing and early warning capabilities.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Studies in Economics, Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or a relevant discipline with substantial quantitative content.
  • Passion for empirical research to undertake policy analysis, programme evaluation, cost-benefit analysis, and economic forecasting.
  • Proven ability to generate actionable insights from data.
  • Skilled in presenting complex research findings with clarity and precision to diverse audiences (technical and non-technical).
  • Proficient in data science tools and visualisation techniques (e.g. R, Python, Tableau).
  • Effective team player with strong collaboration and communication skills.
