Senior Copper Trader

Job Description:

The Senior Copper Trader is responsible for leading and managing the company's copper and non-ferrous metals trading operations in Singapore. This role requires strong leadership, analytical skills, and the ability to execute in a fast-paced environment.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Client Management: Oversee the foreign trade business of bulk commodities such as copper and cobalt for key clients, ensuring efficient execution.
    • Market Research: Conduct in-depth analysis of copper price drivers, including supply-demand, macroeconomic trends, speculative forces, and structural trends.
    • Trade Execution: Provide customized trading solutions to enhance client satisfaction and business profitability.
    • Relationship Management: Build and maintain relationships with global suppliers, clients, and industry participants.
    • Market Monitoring: Monitor copper prices, freight costs, exchange rates, and supply-demand data in real-time.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Finance, Economics, International Trade, or Metallurgical Engineering.
  • Over 1 year of experience in copper or non-ferrous metals trading.
  • Strong research skills, proficient in analyzing supply-demand, macroeconomic trends, speculative forces, and structural trends.
  • Proficiency in tools like Excel and Python.
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in Mandarin or other Asian languages is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Singapore's trade environment and international regulations.

Requirements
