Job Overview

The Head Mixologist/Beverage Director is a pivotal role that oversees the development and implementation of our beverage programs across multiple concepts.

This position requires an experienced professional with a passion for mixology and leadership skills to drive success in our dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

Create innovative and diverse cocktail menus for each venue, reflecting current trends and seasonal ingredients;

Develop signature cocktails that showcase creativity and flavor;

Oversee and manage a robust beverage program, including coffees, teas, spirit-free beverages, and specialities, considering customer preferences;

Explore new ingredients, techniques, and concepts to keep the beverage program fresh and engaging;

Collaborate with the culinary team to create pairings that enhance the dining experience;

Continuously develop expertise in mixology techniques, presentation, and creation;

Organise and participate in guest shifts, both on-site and off-site, with industry experts and leaders, facilitating collaborative experiences and showcasing talents;

Ensure high-quality standards are met through regular tastings and training sessions for the beverage team;

Monitor inventory, analyse financials, and work with the finance team to optimise costs and maximise profitability;

Lead and inspire the beverage team by setting a positive example and fostering a collaborative, supportive, and productive work environment;

Act as a brand ambassador, representing and promoting the venues and group;

Recruit top talent for the beverage team and establish strong relationships with suppliers and vendors;

Negotiate favourable pricing, terms, and exclusives to ensure business success;

Proactively seek solutions to improve the team and the business. Requirements

5+ years of experience in beverage management and mixology in reputable establishments with compelling beverage programs;

In-depth knowledge of wine & spirits and beverage trends;

Exceptional leadership and team management skills;

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;

Financial acumen to make sound decisions in the best interests of the business;
