Job Title: Sourcing Specialist

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the procurement manager in generating monthly KPIs and reports for senior management.
  • Collaborate with the quality department and suppliers to arrange returns, replacements, and vendor performance monitoring.
  • Negotiate pricing terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
  • Manage end-to-end procurement processes using enterprise resource planning systems.
  • Evaluate sources, examine bids, and make awards for procurement initiatives.
  • Issue purchase orders, track deliveries, and coordinate with warehouse teams, production teams, finance teams, and quality teams.
  • Resolve supply chain disruptions that impact production timelines or project deadlines.
  • Monitor inventory levels and reorder stock based on project forecasts.
  • Perform cost analyses, set benchmarks, identify opportunities for cost savings, and implement strategies to reduce expenses.
  • Ensure material and supplier information is accurately maintained in the ERP system.
  • Support the procurement manager in training junior buyers.
  • Maintain control over vendor performance.
Requirements:

Education: Minimum diploma/degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.

Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in direct procurement within precision manufacturing or assembly production environments.

Skills:

  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Can work under pressure with minimal supervision.
  • Meticulous with high accuracy in submitted work.
  • Able to develop and implement sourcing strategies to achieve organizational goals.
