Data Center Operations Specialist

The Data Center Customer Operations Engineer is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our data centers, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring timely fulfillment of customer requests.
Key Responsibilities- Queue Management: Review and respond to work order requests, escalate and expedites orders as needed, and maintain detailed records of work activity.
- Installations: Install and configure customer equipment, perform intra-cage infrastructure installations, and perform tape changes and standard operating back-up changes.
- Cross-Connect: Support semi-routine data center standard operating cross-connect work order requests for installation, terminations, and modifications.
- Testing and Troubleshooting: Support semi-routine standard operating testing and standard operating installations of customer assets.
- Stakeholder Partnership: Support operations and security personnel, provide backup assistance to team members, and support standard operating procedural tasks.
- Customer Management: Deliver a high level of service and an excellent customer experience, ensure time expectations on new deployments and existing alterations, and support customers on-site through access control and escorting services.
- Projects: Support fulfillment of projects that follow standard operating procedures, work under supervision if projects deviate from standard procedures, and support vendors on projects.
- Typically requires a high school diploma and 1 year of equivalent work experience.
- Willingness to work on rotating shifts.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
