This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team as a Biotechnology Manufacturing Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to support our manufacturing operations in a downstream/central services role. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing routine manufacturing processes, equipment preparation, and process monitoring.

You will work closely with our supervisor and supporting functions to ensure seamless day-to-day production activities, record data accurately, and maintain compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), Environmental, Health and Safety guidelines.

Your responsibilities will also include troubleshooting and resolving process-related issues, maintaining production area housekeeping, reviewing documentation, and utilizing sophisticated software programs to collect and evaluate data.

In addition, you will be responsible for maintaining and meeting training requirements and carrying out other tasks assigned by your supervisor or manager.

Requirements and Qualifications
  • Degree/Diploma/ITE in Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical, or Biotechnology equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year relevant biotechnologist/laboratory experience, familiar with GMP and/or Upstream/Downstream/Central Services
  • Basic skills and knowledge in Fermentation Cell Culture, Bioreactor Processing, Media and Buffer Preparation, and Downstream Processing
  • Able to do rotating 12-hour shift work
  • Team player with troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • Ability to carry heavy loads up to 10kgs where applicable

This is a temporary position with a contract length of 12 months. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in fermentation cell culture, bioreactor processing, and media preparation, as well as GMP facility experience.
