About the Role:

This key position plays a critical role in ensuring the security and safety of port operations. The Port Security Leader will be responsible for implementing and maintaining effective maritime security measures, working closely with relevant agencies and stakeholders to prevent and respond to security threats.

  • Develop and implement comprehensive maritime security plans, including conducting compliance and licensing audits.
  • Collaborate with national security agencies, shipping community stakeholders, and other relevant parties to enforce security requirements.
  • Formulate policies and measures to reinforce security in the port of Singapore and protect maritime interests.
  • Coordinate Maritime Security exercises and participate in working groups/projects related to regional ferry services operator licensing.
Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will have significant experience in developing maritime security plans and will be able to lead multi-disciplinary teams to actualise concepts and fulfill intended outcomes.

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement effective maritime security strategies.
  • Leadership: Lead and motivate teams to achieve security goals.
  • Communication: Collaborate with stakeholders, communicate effectively, and negotiate with external parties.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A strong understanding of regional political developments and the ability to interact with regional authorities.
  • Relevant working experience in developing maritime security plans.
  • Good analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Able to frame issues clearly and concisely, leading to the development of relevant and useful concepts.
What We Offer:

Careers@Gov offers a competitive salary range of SGD $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.
