Security Compliance Specialist

This is a strategic role that requires a highly skilled cybersecurity professional to provide advisory and guidance to development teams in their preparations for compliance verifications and audits. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline, and 3-5 years of technical and/or project management experience in IT Operations, Support, Governance, and Compliance.
A strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required to address compliance challenges and security risk issues. The successful candidate will also be able to effectively communicate complex technical concepts and facilitate collaboration between teams across departments.
Key Responsibilities:- Providing advisory and guidance to development teams in their preparations for compliance verifications and audits.
- Conducting regular compliance verifications to ensure applications meet necessary processes, standards, and controls to comply with policies.
- Developing protocols and documentation for maintaining compliance standards.
- Leading and managing the compliance onboarding process with development teams to ensure they meet planned schedules.
- Working closely with engineering departments to identify areas for improvement and solve problems.
The ideal candidate should have knowledge of government IT security policies and processes, and be proactive in improving and streamlining processes, incorporating feedback from audits and assessments to enhance application sustainment practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications:- Strong knowledge of Cybersecurity best practices and methodologies.
Additional skills and qualifications include: Strong communication skills, ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, and knowledge of relevant technologies and tools.
