Technical Systems Specialist Job Description

Job Title: Technical Systems Specialist

  • We are seeking a highly skilled technical systems specialist to perform compliance and security checks for subsystems.

This role involves conducting verification and assurance checks for subsystems as they onboard to our Compliance Platforms.

You will work closely with application teams to prepare them for compliance verification and audit readiness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise application teams on preparing for compliance verification and audit readiness.
  • Perform routine compliance assessments to confirm applications meet required processes, standards, and controls.
  • Draft and maintain documentation and protocols to support compliance efforts.
  • Manage and lead the onboarding process with application teams, ensuring alignment with scheduled timelines.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to identify improvement opportunities and resolve compliance issues.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT operations, project management, or governance and compliance.
  • Strong communication skills to explain complex technical concepts and foster cross-functional collaboration.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to address compliance and security-related challenges.
  • Solid understanding of government IT security policies and procedures.

This is a contract position lasting 24 months. The successful candidate will possess strong technical expertise and excellent soft skills.
