Equities Product Manager

About the Role

This is a senior leadership role within our Technology Group where you will be responsible for defining and driving the development of software products in the Equities domain. You will work closely with business stakeholders, technology leads, and engineering teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality products that meet business needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define product vision and strategic objectives: Work with business stakeholders to identify business needs and develop product visions and strategic objectives that align with the company's goals.
  • Gather and analyse business requirements: Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and analyse business requirements, and prioritise features based on business goals and technical feasibility.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams: Work closely with business product managers, business stakeholders, technology leads, engineering teams, and designers to drive best practices and ensure the highest quality and standards are applied.
  • Collaborate with peer teams: Collaborate with peer teams within the organisation on multidisciplinary projects and front-office and back-office initiatives.
  • Interact with external partners: Interact with financial institutions, international banks, and brokers, vendors, and solution providers for new business requirements/initiatives.
Requirements
  • Seniority level: Mid-senior level
  • Industry experience: At least 10 years of experience in technology product management, preferably within the financial services or investment management industry.
  • Technical skills: Deep understanding of the Equities domain, including areas such as Research and Analytics, Portfolio Management, and Order Management systems.
  • Business skills: Strong background in product development, with experience in defining and driving the development of a software product.
  • Soft skills: Good understanding of design principles and user experience (UX) design, as well as the ability to work effectively with designers.
  • Methodologies: Well-versed in Agile software development methodologies, with hands-on experience in working as part of highly effective Agile software development teams using Scrum, Kanban, or other agile frameworks.
