Special Education Professional Role

Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching and experience working with students who have autism spectrum disorder.

  • Deliver clear and effective lessons using various teaching strategies for students with autism, tailoring approaches to meet individual needs.
  • Plan and develop curriculum and programs that cater to student learning requirements, ensuring inclusive education.
  • Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams, parents, and support staff to provide quality education and care.
  • Understand and adapt educational strategies to accommodate diverse learning and developmental needs of students.
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Program (IEP) lesson plans, reports, and documentation, prioritizing student progress and outcomes.
  • Support and coach teacher assistants in their roles.

Requirements:

  • Recognised degree or polytechnic diploma from a reputable institution.
  • Teaching qualifications or equivalent in Special Education are advantageous.
  • Mandatory 5 credits in GCE 'O' level, with a pass in English and Mathematics.
  • Preferably 3 years of experience at secondary school level.
  • Familiarity with national curriculum frameworks is essential.
  • Demonstrated passion for teaching and commitment to student success.
