As a seasoned professional, you will take on the role of Development Assistant Manager, spearheading the creation of a world-class NS-themed gallery. This dynamic contract position offers an exciting opportunity to conceptualise, strategise, and develop an impactful exhibition that showcases Singapore's vulnerabilities and highlights the importance of National Service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop a comprehensive public programming strategy to complement exhibitions throughout the year, ensuring diverse audiences' needs are met.
  • Collaborate with curatorial teams to craft innovative programmes that meet the expectations of our patrons.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to identify collaboration opportunities and programme efforts, such as learning journeys with schools and educational institutions.
  • Evaluate programme effectiveness and manage audience feedback to inform future offerings.
Volunteering Opportunities:
  • Establish a stable of volunteer roles at the museum, developing training materials and operationalising requirements to ensure volunteers are equipped to contribute to the gallery's success.
  • Design and implement volunteer policies, role descriptions, and evaluation tools to optimise their experience.
  • Recruit, screen, and onboard volunteers for various roles across the gallery.
  • Plan and host volunteer appreciation events and recognition programmes to foster a sense of community.
  • Coordinate internally to assess volunteer needs, ensure effective placement, and supervision.
Business Development:
  • Support the development of strategic partnerships and collaborations to enhance the gallery's visibility and impact.
  • Implement strategies to diversify revenue streams and business opportunities.
  • Monitor and analyse performance metrics for business initiatives.
  • Contribute to the development of retail and merchandise strategies that align with the gallery's branding and objectives.
  • Design and operationalise viable physical and online gift shops.
Fundraising and Sponsorship:
  • Support the cultivation and maintenance of relationships with sponsors, donors, and foundations, including engagement events and opportunities.
  • Develop compelling sponsorship proposals and customised partnership packages.
  • Plan and execute donor events and annual giving programmes.
  • Design and operationalise attractive membership programmes for the gallery.
  • Plan and execute fundraising campaigns to achieve the desired outcomes.
