Process Technician Job

We are seeking a skilled Process Technician to join our team. As a Process Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on process equipment.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Perform minor maintenance tasks such as strainer cleaning and filter/screen change
  • Check and start-up/shut-down operations on process equipment
  • Isolate piping systems for plant start-up/shutdown/troubleshooting operations
  • Adjust process parameters under supervision of Supervisors
  • Collect process samples from assigned sampling points in a safe manner
  • Able to work in a laboratory environment performing in-process sample testing to ensure product quality
  • Commissioning/de-commissioning of process equipment
  • Emergency shutdown of process equipment
  • Proper handling and blending of non-conforming/off-spec products
  • Prepare plant equipment for maintenance and ensure all required lockout/tagout/tryout has been performed
  • Preparing chemicals/mixing/dilution for process operations
  • Perform inter-tank transfers of chemicals/products based on established quality procedures
  • Emergency response activities/drills
  • Maintain acceptable housekeeping in assigned areas
  • Review of final product/process analytical results/DCS conditions/trends
  • Understand/comply with departmental Safety/Environmental guidelines/policies/procedures
  • Contribute to the improvement of Safety/Health/Environment/Quality Programs
Requirements:
  • NITEC/Diploma in Chemical Process Technology
  • At least 3 years' working experience as Process Technician in a chemical industry
