Freight Forwarding Coordinator

We are seeking an experienced Freight Forwarding Coordinator to join our team.

  • Attend to client and overseas offices/agents as well as handle sea/air/land import and export enquiries.
  • Source and maintain rates from hauliers, shipping lines, overseas agents/offices and subcontractors.
  1. Coordinate and follow up of shipment arrangement (air freight/sea freight/trucking), which includes but not limited to:
  2. Work closely with sales personnel.
  3. Prepare quotation and carry out rates negotiations with shipping lines/co-loader, etc.
  4. Check/compare on the most economical of shipping documents.
  5. Responsible for documentation of shipping documents.
  6. Ensure all parties are kept informed on progress of shipment (collected/shipped/arrived/etc).
  7. Issue job sheets based on selling/costs agreed.
  • Check and verify incoming, job-related invoices which will be handover to finance department for further processing.
  • Working with Finance and Business Development team on payment issues/job-related invoices and follow up on payment with clients.
  • Support the sales strategy, development of new business as well as coordination of Business Development shipments and existing business penetration.
  • Generate reports on quotes' success and failure rates complete with clients' and subcontractors' feedback.
Requirements:
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in the freight forwarding industry.
  • Very good proficiency with Microsoft Office Tools (Word, Excel etc.).
About This Role:

This role is responsible for coordinating and managing the movement of goods from suppliers to customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of logistics and transportation processes, as well as excellent communication skills.
