We are seeking a talented Pastry Chef to join our team and take your culinary career to the next level. Your role will involve assisting the Head Chef, Sous Chef, Junior Sous Chef, and Pastry Chef during service to ensure quality, timing, and coordination of all dessert items. You will be responsible for upholding the highest standards in presentation, flavor, texture, and portion control for all pastry items, using only approved ingredients as directed by senior kitchen leadership.

To succeed in this role, you will need to take full ownership and responsibility for your station, ensuring cleanliness, readiness, and overall efficiency. Proactive communication with the team is essential to suggest improvements and address challenges in your section. You will also be responsible for ensuring that all items produced in your section meet the company's quality and presentation standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Head Chef, Sous Chef, Junior Sous Chef, and Pastry Chef during service to ensure quality, timing, and coordination of all dessert items.
  • Uphold the highest standards in presentation, flavor, texture, and portion control for all pastry items.
  • Use only approved ingredients as directed by senior kitchen leadership to maintain consistency and quality.
  • Take full ownership and responsibility for your station, ensuring cleanliness, readiness, and overall efficiency.
  • Proactively communicate with the team to suggest improvements and address challenges in your section.
  • Ensure all items produced in your section meet the company's quality and presentation standards.
Requirements
  • A Diploma or higher qualification in Pastry, Bakery, or related culinary disciplines.
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience in pastry within a high-standard restaurant or hotel environment.
  • Strong team player with leadership potential and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Positive, enthusiastic, and professional attitude with a passion for pastry arts.
  • Willingness to work weekends and public holidays.
  • Immediate availability preferred.
