Pastry Chef Opportunity

voco Orchard Singapore is seeking a dynamic and passionate Pastry Chef to oversee pastry kitchen operations and coordinate kitchen colleagues in order to prepare, cook and present enticing breads and pastries according to hotel standard recipes.

  • Responsibilities:
  • Participate in the preparation of all items prepared in the pastry shop and bakery. Ensure that all desserts are prepared and presented in an attractive and appetizing manner.
  • Work with locally available fresh products wherever possible.
  • Participate in planning utilization of food surpluses and leftovers, taking into account seasonal availability and minimizing waste.
  • Develop and implement menus that meet the high standards of quality and presentation expected by our guests.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Pastry Chef in a reputable hotel or restaurant.
  • Ability to lead a team of pastry cooks and maintain high levels of productivity and quality.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of hygiene and safety in the kitchen.
  • Proficiency in culinary arts and knowledge of international cuisine.
