About the RoleWe're seeking an experienced and strategic Global Market Insights Lead/New Business Development Director to join our Singapore-based team. This role will be responsible for driving revenue growth through new client acquisition. The successful candidate will have a strong background in client management and business development within the market research industry, with a proven track record of securing new business and managing client accounts to deliver profitable growth.
Key Responsibilities:- New Business Acquisition:
- Identify and secure new client logos through aggressive targeting and strategic planning.
- Client Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their needs are met and fostering long-term relationships.
- Commercial Focus:
- Emphasize sales targets and achieve results-driven outcomes in a high-performance environment.
- Strategic Thinking:
- Analyze market trends and client feedback to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
- Sales Presentations and Proposals:
- Develop compelling sales presentations and proposals, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver customized solutions to clients.
- Collaboration:
- Work collaboratively with colleagues on impactful projects, guiding cross-functional teams to ensure client objectives are met.
- Communication:
- Provide clear and consistent communication to clients and internal stakeholders, addressing client questions and proactively solving business problems.
- Reporting:
- Deliver timely reports on business forecasts, sales pipelines, deal analysis, and profitability metrics, informing strategic decisions and driving growth.
- Experience:
- Minimum 10+ years of proven client development experience in the market research industry.
- Sales Skills:
- Demonstrated success in acquiring new clients and achieving sales targets.
- Commercial Acumen:
- Strong commercial focus with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Analytical Expertise:
- Ability to turn data into actionable insights and present compelling stories addressing key client business issues.
- Strategic Thinking:
- Proven ability to manage strategic initiatives and develop retention/growth strategies for clients.
- Communication Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, presenting findings and recommendations effectively to clients.
- Team Leadership:
- Experience guiding cross-functional teams, ensuring client objectives are met and working collaboratively to lead by example.
- Organizational Skills:
- Strong organizational skills, managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Location:
- This position is based in Singapore and requires a strong understanding of the SEA market and broader APAC region.
