Job Overview

VICO CONSTRUCTION PTE. LTD. is seeking a seasoned Contract Director to lead our contracts administration team in delivering quality and timely projects. The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of experience in full-cycle construction project administration, with a strong background in cost economics and quantity surveying.

About the Role

We are offering a competitive salary of SGD $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading and guiding our quantity surveying team, negotiating with subcontractors, and advising on contract disputes and claims. You will also prepare and monitor project cost budgets and cash flow, track changes in design/construction work, and manage variations.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and guide the quantity surveying team in contracts administration to ensure quality and timely delivery of their assigned tasks and responsibilities.
  • Negotiate with subcontractors and monitor their performance to ensure compliance and adherence to project timelines.
  • Advise and resolve requests for equitable adjustments, contract disputes, and claims with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
  • Prepare and monitor project cost budgets and cash flow, track changes in design/construction work, manage variations, and adjust budget projections accordingly.
  • Collaborate closely with the project team and oversee the quantity surveying team in the analysis, evaluation, and negotiation of quotations to ensure timely awarding of contracts to subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Draft contractual correspondence and ensure the timely finalization of accounts with clients and subcontractors.
  • Participate in the project tender process, including leading the team in tabulating quantities and pricing.

Requirements:
  • Degree in Building, Quantity Surveying, or equivalent.
  • At least 8 years of relevant experience in the full cycle of construction project administration.
  • Experience working in a Singapore Consultant Company is preferred.
  • Experience with Singapore A1 Main Contractors and HDB BTO projects is an advantage.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills to meet deadlines.
  • Essential knowledge of cost economics.
  • Strong command of English.
