Job Opportunity: Residential Buildings Supervisor

This role presents a unique challenge for individuals with a passion for civil engineering and project management.

The Resident Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the construction process of residential buildings, ensuring that all site activities comply with project specifications, regulations, and client requirements.

This involves monitoring site works to ensure method statements and work procedures are strictly followed, identifying any non-conformity of contractor's work site, and ensuring that the builder executes the work according to consultant's instructions.

The Resident Engineer will also be responsible for checking drawings for discrepancies, highlighting any issues to the consultant, and suggesting possible solutions to prevent delays.

Additionally, they will conduct quality inspections and quality control of materials used for the project, ensure proper documentation of site inspection records, safety records, and approved/as-built drawings, and maintain and update site records on progress of work, housekeeping, and preparing reports.

The Resident Engineer will verify contractors' progress payments, claims in terms of work done and materials/equipment delivered and stored on site, and witness all inspection, testing, and commissioning sessions performed by contractors to ensure compliance with designs and specifications.

Finally, they will report to the project QP/project consultants team on quality and progress.

Requirements:

  • Must have a minimum of a diploma in civil engineering or equivalent.
  • At least 4 years of relevant experience in supervision of residential buildings.
  • Able to demonstrate excellent knowledge of statutory codes and requirements.
  • A strong team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
