Department Overview

The Group Technology and Operations (GTO) division is responsible for delivering software and system development, IT support services, and banking operations. By centralizing and standardizing technology components in Singapore, GTO has established a global framework that supports regional subsidiaries and branches worldwide, ensuring a secure and adaptable banking infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

As a Security Architect, you will serve as a vital partner within GTO, collaborating with teams to design, implement, and manage the bank's IT systems and applications. Your role will focus on integrating effective security measures that align with business objectives, adhere to regulatory standards, and safeguard the organization from cyber threats.

Specific Duties Include:

  • Leading the security design initiatives across the organization, developing reference architectures and design patterns that align with enterprise standards.
  • Conducting comprehensive security architecture assessments for projects to ensure robust security controls are incorporated.
  • Identifying and addressing security design gaps in existing and new systems through thorough evaluations and recommendations.
  • Acting as a trusted advisor, providing security guidance to stakeholders across IT and non-IT sectors, and communicating security requirements across various domains.
  • Supporting the overarching information and cyber security strategy of the Group, engaging with the architecture development community and participating in relevant technology forums.
  • Driving innovation in cyber security architecture and design, staying abreast of technological advancements, and collaborating with industry experts.

Qualifications

  • A degree in Information Security, Computer Science/Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 10 years of pertinent security experience across various domains, including Application, Cloud, Data, Network, and Identity & Access Management, particularly in large and complex environments.
  • Extensive knowledge and practical experience in key areas such as Application Security, Infrastructure Security, and Cloud Security/DevSecOps.
  • A solid understanding of the IT lifecycle, encompassing strategic planning, application development, and risk management.
  • Relevant security certifications such as CISSP, TOGAF, or certifications from recognized organizations.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of conveying complex concepts to diverse audiences.
  • A detail-oriented mindset with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • The ability to work autonomously or collaboratively with minimal oversight.
