Department Overview

The Group Technology and Operations (GTO) division is responsible for delivering software and system development, IT support services, and banking operations. By centralizing and standardizing technology components in Singapore, we have established a global framework that supports our regional subsidiaries and international branches. Our operations extend across 19 countries, ensuring a secure and adaptable banking infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

As a Security Architect, you will serve as a vital partner and facilitator within GTO. Your role will involve collaborating with various teams to design, implement, and manage the bank's IT systems and applications, ensuring robust security measures are integrated to meet business objectives, adhere to regulatory standards, and safeguard the organization from cyber threats.

Specific Duties Include:

  • Leading the security design initiatives across the organization. Develop security reference architectures and design frameworks that align with enterprise standards and serve as foundational elements.
  • Conducting comprehensive security architecture assessments for organization-wide projects to guarantee the integration of effective security controls.
  • Identifying vulnerabilities in existing or new systems and spearheading the evaluation and enhancement of security measures to mitigate risks.
  • Acting as a trusted expert, providing security guidance to stakeholders across all levels, and communicating security requirements for IT systems across various domains, including Data, Network, Workload, Cloud, and Application security.
  • Supporting the overarching information and cyber security strategy of the Group, representing the Group IS Department, and engaging with the architecture development community.
  • Driving innovation in cyber security systems architecture and design while staying abreast of technological advancements and collaborating with regulatory bodies and industry experts.

Qualifications

  • A degree in Information Security, Computer Science/Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in security across various domains, including Application, Cloud, Data, Network, Identity & Access Management (IAM), Vulnerability Management, and Security Monitoring, particularly in large and complex environments such as multinational corporations and financial institutions.
  • Extensive knowledge and practical experience in one or more of the following areas: Application Security, Infrastructure Security, or Cloud Security/DevSecOps.
  • A solid understanding of key IT lifecycle components, including strategic planning, application development, implementation & support, IT infrastructure and operations, vendor management, IT audit, risk management, and business continuity planning.
  • Relevant security certifications such as CISSP, TOGAF, SABSA, CCSK, CCIE Security, or certifications from AWS/Azure/SANS/CREST.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Detail-oriented and inquisitive, with robust analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team with minimal supervision.
