Senior Vice President, Regulatory Compliance Expert

HSBC is seeking a high-calibre professional to join our team as a Senior Vice President, Regulatory Compliance. This role will support the SVP Head of RC to provide compliance advisory to the insurance business, exercise risk stewardship, and communicate new regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Provide proactive and practical advice on regulatory compliance matters, covering local regulatory requirements and HSBC Group policies.
- Exercise risk stewardship and challenge Compliance risk taxonomies in governance forums and through effective issue management.
- Promptly communicate new regulations and changes that impact the insurance business, including keeping abreast of key local regulatory changes.
- Actively participate in managing new product and services development to ensure potential compliance issues are addressed.
- Identify and resolve regulatory compliance issues timely, reporting and escalating material issues to relevant stakeholders.
- Maintain strong relations with regulators and industry bodies, including oversight on regulatory inspections and responding to queries.
- Prepare and furnish governance reports related to regulatory compliance matters.
- Degree holder in business, accounting, or law with 12-15 years' experience in the insurance industry.
- Compelling communication and interpersonal skills, with experience in dealing with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to develop practical solutions to complex issues and work independently.
- Experience of dealing with regulatory matters and confident interaction with regulators.
- Experience of interpreting complex information and providing succinct summaries for management.
