Global SCF Business Developer

Job Overview:

We are seeking a Global SCF Business Developer to lead our marketing efforts and drive commercial activities in Asia.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop a robust portfolio of corporate and financial institution accounts in the SCF business segment in Asia, working closely with third-party platforms.
  • Provide professional SCF or trade finance solutions to clients, collaborating with the client relationship team globally.
  • Prospect new clients and offer suitable supply chain financing services to existing customers, achieving individual business targets and contributing to team performance.
  • Foster effective partnerships with team members to provide excellent support to clients' requirements in Asia.

Key Qualifications:

  • A university degree in business, finance, or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of solid experience in SCF transactions with a financial institution, with a strong background in trade finance banking products.
  • Good knowledge of products and trends in SCF and general corporate banking products and services.
  • Familiarity with general banking operations and related legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Previous exposure to the preparation of credit proposals.
  • Strong connections in the local banking industry and leading core buyers in Asia.
  • Proven business origination and structuring capabilities, with insurance-covered transaction structure being an advantage.
  • Highly results-driven.
  • Trade finance experience in other Asian countries is an advantage.

Requirements:

  • A team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills, good negotiation skills, ability to close deals, and able to work under pressure.
  • Able to work in a matrix reporting structure, multi-functional, and cross-cultural environment.
  • Excellent communication skills with fluency in English and Mandarin; ability to speak Spanish would be advantageous but not required.
  • Knowledge in ESG/green product structuring is a plus.
