Key Role: Data Centre Operations Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to oversee the smooth operation of our data centre facilities.

This includes administering and monitoring critical infrastructure, responding to emergencies, and conducting routine checks on equipment and environment.

  • Supporting essential fire protection systems including smoke detection, fire alarm, gas suppression, and pre-action sprinkler.
  • Administering and monitoring critical M&E infrastructure using various monitoring systems.
  • Being contactable 24/7 via mobile phone and responding to emergencies.
  • Conducting routine checks on facilities equipment and environment to ensure seamless operations.
  • Oversighting regular servicing and maintenance, ensuring submission of service reports and documentation.
  • Managing IMAC (Install, Move, Add, Change) documentation for M&E equipment.
  • Preparing annual M&E maintenance schedules with appointed vendors.
  • Maintaining and updating SOPs for data centre operations.
  • Liaising with building landlords or facility management for building-related works.
  • Tracking infrastructure capacity and providing recommendations for continual improvement.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Nitec, Higher Nitec, or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or Facilities Management.
  • Certification in Data Centre Operations.
  • A minimum of 18 months of hands-on experience in Data Centre Facilities Management.
